My Dear Joan,
We have just received knowledge of your very sad news so may I take this opportunity on behalf of both Joe & myself, to let you know that our hopes, and thoughts are with you at this time. May God give you strength and fortitude to lighten your burden. I hardly need say how we are hoping you will receive enlightening news in the very near future.
So God Bless you dear and do try to be brave as your dear one will be expecting of you.
Afectionately [sic] yours.
Phyllis & Joe
