I got several important blisters and burns, but a french [sic] doctor tended me with great skilfulness. - I hope to be soon in good health – I am now a prisoner, not for a long time – My watch, ring, personal papers and money are in good place. I am to sleep in a hospital at about 30 miles from Havre.
Cheeri – o and good luck
