Dear Madam,
In confirmation of my telegram of the 30th December 1941, according to a telegram from the Air Attache at Madrid, your husband No. 742570 Sergeant Jack Lamport NEWTON of No. 12 Squadron, Royal Air Force, previously reported as ‘missing’ is now reported as ‘interned.’ The report states that he has arrived in Madrid.
The actual address of internment is not yet known, but will be communicated to you as soon as received.
