Wireless Operator/Air Gunners flying log book covering the period from 8 October 1943 to April 1953. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RAF Yatesbury (2 Radio School), RAF Evanton (8 AGS), RAF Wigtown (1(Observer’s) AFU), RAF Finningley (18 OTU), RAF Blyton (1662 HCU), RAF Hemswell (1 LFS), RAF Kelstern & RAF Scampton (625 Squadron), RAF Doncaster (9 RFS). Aircraft flown in were Dominie, Anson, Wellington, Halifax, Lancaster. He flew a total of 14 night-time and 5 daylight bomber operations (total 19) plus two Operation Manna “spam dropping” flights and one Cook’s Tour flight with 625 Squadron, targets were Essen, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bochum, Dortmund, Bonn, Zeitz, Mannheim, Bottrup, Geilenkirchen, Wanne Eichel, St Vith, Rheydt, Heligoland and Neuss. His pilots on operations were Flight Lieutenant Treherne, Squadron Leader Russell and Flying Officer Bailey. From 1951 to 1953 he flew as RAFVR with 9 Reserve Flying School.
