Dear Madam,
I have to acknowledge your letter of the 29th ult. and to inform you that so far we have no news of your son’s whereabouts, we could write to Geneva for this information on your behalf this would take some considerable time, otherwise we could send a Cable which would cost you £1. 7. 2d reply paid. We need his full name and rank, also date on which he was reported missing and from what operations.
When you know to which Camp your Son has been sent you can send him parcels, one every three months, four per year. I enclose a list of permitted articles.
