Dear Mum, Dad & Moira,
Thanks for your airgraph of 8th Jan which arrived 2 days ago.
The weather is now much more pleasant, & seems very warm, although its only 10o above zero. I wish you’d tell Uncle Bert & Auntie Cis, that Don is a super instructor. I was not doing too well on my circuits & bumps so Don took me up for three circuits & so well did he instruct me that I did really well & went solo immediately. He had already put me down for solo & so gave me confidence. I feel much more confident now & if I get my wings, as I should do, it’ll be thanks to Don.
I received a cable from Uncle Alex yesterday, so will you thank him for me.
Well, the lads are certainly scattered over the world now. Do you know where Roy is?
I received an airgraph from Yvonne, asking for a watch, a cigarette lighter & some shoes. I’m afraid I can’t manage the first two as the money really seems to go so quickly. I lost her foot measurements with me [sic] wallet, so will you send them on. The size is no good.
Well there’s nothing much else to say, as its not a very interesting place.
Please remember me to everyone, friends & relatives.
Much love.
Terry
