My Dear Mother & Dad,

A happy New Year. I hope much better than 1940. We had good weather to begin it with. I have not received any more letters but I expect quite a batch anytime. Write as often as you possibly can. I have not much to say, except that I am still well & hope you are, & I hope you will have received several of my letters by now. They are not very interesting, but they show that I am all right.
