A representative of the Swedish Y..C.A. came here recently bearing kind enquiries for my well being from your friends in Sweden. They had been trying to locate me for a long time. It was grand to speak with someone from outside the barbed wire. The gentleman (Mr. Soderberg) was very friendly and asked if I wished for anything. I asked for a violin bow which I badly need, but forgot to mention toothpaste & socks, of which I am very short since Ursula’s last two parcels haven’t turned up yet. Had a letter from Ursula giving full details of your generosity to us during her two day visit to you in December. My most grateful thanks for everything. Ursula wrote most appreciatively of your kindness. Glad to have Bunty’s snaps. Love, John
