My Darling,
Yours of 14th Nov here. Series complete to 22nd November. Waiting (always waiting!) eagerly to hear if you have been living at Chalfont & details of everything you’ve done. So far winter has not been severe but most unpleasant on account of damp. Some months ago I saw British M.O. re my nose & he suggested “washing it out” daily with quantities of solution of boracic & salt. It has worked wonders, I get rid of a lot of nasty coloured mucous every day & my tasting although not always in working order is very much better. My only exercise is an occasional circuit of the compound but I feel very fit despite the ever present torture of the climate. Hope you are well, dearest, & not working too hard. Always yours John
