No mail from you, alas. The[sic] [there] has been a noticeable falling off recently. Hope you are getting mine now. I’d give a lot to be able to write more often. Life not much different here – no severe cold yet but awfully wet weather. a wooden hut, the [censored some words] has been allotted to us as a theatre - & we number 2000 – any show will have to be done many time for all to see. In one respect only is this camp an improvement on the last – facilities for organised education are slightly better & we have 4 small rooms available for classes. These of course are in constant use. I have no hope of a better place for fiddle practice & may have to desist [?] when weather gets really cold. I miss the photos of you & Frances which Ba used to take. I often gaze longingly at those I have, will 1944 see us together?? Fondest[?] John
