There is little or no fresh news. Large quantities of Red X food have arrived during recent weeks & our weekly parcel is assured for some time. In contrast to last month, the weather is most unpleasant – lots of sleet & cold winds. I seem to make negligible on the fiddle despite the hours I put in. Assuming your parents come home soon & after you have spent some months with them, what about your taking Frances to live on a farm till I get back & am demobbed. It would be grand for her & you could help with the farm work, learning a lot & also helping the war effort just as much as you do now, if not more. You could plough & sow, reap & mow, drive tractors milk cows & become quite a “land girl” or “land mother”. You would also find out if you really liked the life too, which would be a good thing. Let me know what you think. Love to both. John
