No. 28 (P.Card) 16-11 42 (Received Christmas Day)
Nothing further from you since last I wrote nor is there anything fresh to report from here. Had a very kind letter from a client of Touches. Mr H.G.Cole, 3 Cambridge Rd, Watford. Would you thank him for it & say how much I appreciated his remembering me. In her last letter Ba said she was out of a job. Has she left the Station or does she mean lack of custom there? In case this is the last you will have from me before Xmas I send all my love to the three of you & best wishes for a happy time. I shall be thinking of you then & looking forward to being with you for the next one. Give Frances as good a time as possible. Still grinding away at the fiddle. I’ve certainly undertaken a big job there. Otherwise I haven’t been studying much recently owing to pressure of other duties.
Longing for you, as always, John
