Dear Mr & Mrs Madgett

I have written to the RA.Fs. Indastral [sic] House Ldn & this is the reply to my letter, they seem to be be [sic] pretty certain that P.O. Lewis was in the crew, and if this is so I feel for the safty [sic] of the Rest of Crew, and by all accounts must have come down in the sea and if this is so we can only hope that some of them were picked up alive.
Trusting we shall hear further 'Good news of them in the near future

I remain Yours
Sincerely D Souter
