192 Squadron,
R.A.F Station,
Foulsham,
Nr. Dereham,
Norfolk.
Ref:- 192/C.2151/P2. 11th July, 1945.
Dear Sir,
I write to thank you and tell how very much we appreciated your having allowed us (through the Officers' Mess) six 18 gallon barrels of your beer; as a result we had a first class party.
It was really a farewell party, as most of our Squadron aircrew are now leaving us; they included many Dominion and overseas personnel who are on their way home, and also returned Prisoners of War.
Thanks to your kind co-operation we were able to make the function really worthy of such an occasion.
Yours faithfully,
DW
