Rotterdam Docks
Title
Rotterdam Docks
Description
Aerial vertical photograph of Wilton Shipyards. On the left the Nieuwe Maas river with entrance to Vijfsluizen basin (Wiltonhaven). Several small craft are leaving it and spreading out on the river. Just inside the entrance, on the top side, several jetties have ships moored alongside. There are more ships moored further to the right towards the end of the basin - three are in floating docks with gangways connected them to shore. Dockyard buildings along the top side of the basin, including a shipyard with a ship on a launching slipway. Four bomb impacts can be seen in the river to top side of the basin entrance; series of bomb explosions stretching from the jetting to the right of the entrance, diagonally to the bottom side of the basin. Captioned 'Rotterdam'.
