Dearest David
I enclose Ian's letter, when you have finished with it would you send it on to Elizabeth, I also enclose Normans -
It has been very good of you to telephone so much to us – We were both so relieved to hear that it wall [sic] all over & Frances had arrived
I have thought about you so much this last week, & it must be a great relief to feel that Joyce has it all behind [inserted] her [/inserted] now – I hope she [deleted] has [/deleted] will relax comfortably into her bed now
[page break]
she deserves it after producing such a whopper- & have a good rest – [inserted] I am sorry she had such a bad time [/inserted] having a baby (once it has arrived) is the only pleasant form of illness that can be enjoyed I think, so its well to make the most of it
Now Miss Dodson has departed, they won't want to have a christening party will they, I'm sure it will mean too much work for [deleted] everyone [/deleted] them under the circumstances
very much love from us both
