Dearest,
Many thanks for your short note Received [sic] yesterday I am sorry to hear that Jean is so ill & hope she is soon better.
Well last night we Paid [sic] another visit to Nuremburgh [sic] & this time I think it was well and truly Pranged. [sic] We have heard that we have a good Photo but I have not seen it yet.
Yesterday I had another [corrected] Interview [/corrected] for my Commission so that only have one more now & that should not be so very far distant. The last & worse too.
The stuff they want to know.

The person who interviewed me yesterday was Group Captain Hughie Edwards [underlined] V.C. – DSO & DFC [/underlined] who is our new Commander. He seemed quite a nice chap & nobody’s fool. (He is one of new young promotions)
Well my dear that is about all for the present so Ill [sic] close now with all my love for you darling 21 more days
