My dear Rosemary.
Mummy & I are wondering whether or not you have received the parcels of Sweets & Beans & also the 10/- note which we sent to you during the week, I trust that they arrived safely.
We have sent a pair of Pink Bed Socks to Godmother & two Handkerchiefs to Uncle Ernest on your behalf so please write to them at once to say that you are sending these & wish them all good wishes for Xmas.
We had to send them before you arrive home because of
[page break]

the Xmas posting rush & the P.O. asks everyone to post early.
Mummy will meet you on Thursday morning my dear and I hope that you will have a good journey home, we are all looking forward with much pleasure to having you home again.
Dont [sic] forget to bring your bed sheets home because Mummy wishes to give you flanalette [sic] sheets to take back as they are warmer.
Has’nt [sic] the weather been terrible this last week, I hope that you have had better weather in Darley Dale that [sic] we have had here.
Grandma goes to Aunt Enids [sic] tomorrow. With love from us all. Ever your loving
Daddy.
