Translated from the original in German: Present is Mr Theodor Tröll, of Stifterstraße 7, and makes the following statement:
The builder Riede lived in Motzstraße. During the night of the attack, incendiaries had fallen into the house. So Mr Riede ran out of the cellar and put the fire out, helped by a lawyer. When he returned to the others in the cellar, his wife says: “Where have you left the lawyer?” That was still during the attack. So Mr Riede ran back up to fetch the gentleman. At that moment, a bomb hits the house, tears the floors apart and nothing is to be found of the two men. The occupants of the cellar escaped with no more than a fright.
