Madam,
I am commanded by the Air Council to inform you that they have approved your appointment to a commission in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force in the rank of Assistant Section Officer on probation with effect from 10 Nov 1941
You will remain on probation (normally for a period of twelve months) until confirmed in your appointment, which will be for the duration of hostilities.
Notification accordingly will appear in the London Gazette/
You are required to provide yourself with uniform and equipment as specified in the enclosed memorandum.
in respect of this you will receive an outfit grant of £30 which will be paid by the R.A.F. Agents.
The enclosed forms should be completed and returned to this Department.
