Title

La "glorieuse retraite" de Mussolini en Albanie

Description

The article applauds the Greek successful resistance to the Italian army in the strategic city of Korytsa in Albania, causing the Italians to retreat, abandoning equipment, ammunition and vehicles. The Greeks were supported by the Royal Air Force.
As a result, it surmises that the Greek action has weakened Italy’s position and strengthened the resolve of the Balkans against Italy and Germany. It has also affected Italy in the Middle East, particularly their supplies and increased volunteers for the Free French Forces.

On 11th and 12th November, aerial torpedoes attacked the Italian fleet by night near Taranto, putting three out of six Italian battleships out of action for which photographic evidence is given. On 27th November, significant damage was inflicted on a further six Italian ships, west of Sardinia.
