[underlined] The Late Flight Sergeant D.A. Boldy [/underlined]
I am directed to inform you that as your son’s pay account showed a debit balance of 19s.6d. at the time of his death, there is no sum due to the Service Estate in respect of pay.
A sum of £4.16.0d. for Service Post War Credit is, however, payable in respect of your son, together with the sum of £4.5s.0d. which was found amongst effects making a total of £9.1s.0d.
Under the English Law of Intestacy, this amount is divisable equally between the parents of the late airman.

Arrangements are accordingly being made through the Controller of Royal Air Force accounts, Ambala, for the sum of £4.10s.6d. in respect of your share to be paid to you.
