“Adventures” Competition.

Dear Reader,

I am glad to be able to tell you that you have been awarded one of my prizes for your contribution to our competition, and that your name appears in the January 20th issue of CRACKERS.

As, however, the prize due to you is one in kind, and we sometimes have difficulty over import duties when such prizes are sent outside Great Britain – also, there is a possibility of danger in transit – we are following our usual course in such cases, and sending you a remittance for the value of the prize instead.

I therefore enclose a postal order for 2/6d. herewith, and I think you will agree that this is the better arrangement in the circumstances.
