Sunday,
My dearest Jean,
Glad to receive your letter which arrived on Saturday morning, as you did'nt mention your cold I take it that it is still improving, suppose if the work is up to date it will return with renewed strength at the end of the month.
We have'nt been very busy since

Tuesday evening. the weather has been appalling, we've had some snow and a very strong wind which has kept the temperature down to below freezing level these last few days. Ron is now fit again and his mouth is not too sore.
So the second pair of socks are taking shape, what an industrious wife-to-be I have, still I thought its useful to have one that can't knit and talk at the same time, I'll keep you busy with knitting! all right you've only got to wait another few days to deal with

me personally, we've put our leave applications in and everything should be O.K. by the way, if you get time off this leave what about next leave? as I thought we could go to Broadstairs for a few days then, the weather should be warmer and its pretty bleak this time of the year, what do you think is best.
About this making the tea in the morning, I agree about one week on etc but who is going to start the first week, I suggest its the lady's privilage [sic] then you can show me where all the

things are kept.
Well, darling, not a lot of news, how's the moon coming on for the leave, have you gone blonde yet? just can't wait for another week to go by, wish we were busy, time would go so much quicker.
Cheerio for the moment, take care of yourself, darling,
All my love
Yours
Jack
