My dearest Cathie;

I’m glad you’re back in England and only one hour from London.

I fell and injured my face. I had a lot of stitches in my nose and on my lip. But they’ve been taken out now and I am better now.

It’s very cold here – about 18 degrees. Glad you’ve got moderate weather.

I’m sure the Post Office is busy what with all the Christmas sending.

I wrote you a Christmas Card and sent it to your old address. I don’t know if you’ll get it.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday. I wish you all the best.
