Wednesday.

My darling,

Just a few lines to let you know I arrived safely, the trains were pretty frequent on the tube and I was at Kings Cross at 11 o/c, the 11.30 was running and I got a first class seat, had a decent journey up with plenty of sleep. I didn't see Bill then but met him later on. The train arrived at 3.50 and I found a waiting room and slept until 6.30, when my sandwiches and tea came in handy, the bus left just after 7 o/c and was in camp at 8 o/c.

board we saw we were on the board. I had mine this morning, shall have to do a course which seems stupid, anyhow we are getting some leave from next Saturday afternoon for 7 days, so shall be able to do some more to the kitchen.

Have you had any luck at Eastwoods? hope you will be able to get the bricks.

Well darling, this is just a hurried letter, if all goes well hope to be with you on Saturday night, think it will be better to sleep at Claygate then I can get on with the job.!

Cherio for the time being, am just writing to Mum & Dad, give my love to your Mum & Dad.

All my love darling,

Your [indecipherable word] husband Jack
