Sir,

With reference to your letter dated 30th September, 1948, it is deeply regretted that, owing to a clerical error, the certificate forwarded to you on 28th September, 1948 referred to another person. This mistake has however now been rectified and the correct certificate is forwarded to you herewith.

2. I regret to inform you that the information recorded on your Service documents is necessarily of a very impersonal nature and is confined solely to the general activities of your trade. It is therefore impossible for this office to ascertain and confirm the more specialised duties on which you were employed during the course of your employment and mis-employment.

3. I would suggest that you get in touch with some Officer under whom you served and who may be personally acquainted with your work. You may contact any such Officer on application to the following address:-
