Address as usual.
Friday.
Kay Darling.
I half expected a letter from you today, couldn’t quite remember if you said you were going to write or not.
Still no Gen on the leave business. Also my lighter has not turned up.
Went to the flicks last night saw an English Film Produced by Noel Coward, very English it was but can’t remember the title, I went with Les, my new pilot, good type.
Checked up & found I only have one to do, so keep your fingers crossed darling, I will write you directly I am through. Maybe yes, maybe no.
[page break]
[RAF Crest] 2.
The Hudson seems to be taking on a new lease of life it’s running really wizard.
I really must write to Cheadle, if you have 5 mins drop them a line & casually mention that my leave was scrubbed.
Have just remembered the title of that film – This Happy Breed. You must see it. It’s absolutely English.
My watch isn’t done yet, that chappie is getting a real bind.
God bless & Good bye Sweetheart
Yours always
Jim
