Friday.
Kay Dearest,
What a nasty letter you sent me!
For the last week I have been up to the neck in it, if you had been over I couldn't have spent much time with you.
I have made enquiries around Tattershal [sic] but no luck, so it only leaves that I go per day
Hotel in Woodhall, if you like I'll try & fix up in a Private House, but somehow I don't think I shall have much luck in Woodhall.
If you can & would like to risk coming I will endeavour to get a room for 2 or 3 nights just suit yourself, but you must realise that I may not be able to stay with you at all. At the moment I've a serious job of work to do & thats all I can say, do understand
[page break]
2.
Of course I want you over, One hundred per cent, but you must understand that play time has finished. I can't make myself any clearer, I don't know when I'm off from one min to the other. Please understand Darling & say you're sorry for [deleted word] such an uncalled for letter.
You never can tell, I might get a 48 to fetch the Riley, if a bit of luck comes my way, but don't bank on anything.
Please remember me to all & my love to you, God bless you & don't forget no news is good news.
All my love beloved
Yours always
Jim
