Dear Mum, Dad & David,

Just a few lines to let you know I'm fit & well.

We had a wizard trip last night, one of the quietest trips we've ever had I think, though it wasn't as quiet for Jerry, the place got a nice pasting

The weather doesn't look so good again, so we may take quite a time to get our last two in.

Hope you like the group photograph, I think it's quite good; we can't get as many photographs as we'd like so maybe some people will have to wait a bit for one, I'm going to have an enlargement of us both done as soon as it's possible, so hope you don't mind making ‘do’ with a group for now.

Wonder what kind of birthday the lad had? I was thinking of him when we were over the target and thought "that's a birthday present from our kid" as the bombs fell; hope he enjoyed his birthday better than the Jerries who caught those bombs did.

I had a letter from Aunt Glad and Uncle Jim yesterday, she says she's had to go the doctor's and he's advised her to be a blood donor owing to having high blood pressure, I think it's a good idea don't you?

I'm sorry I haven't any news for you just now, there's nothing out of the ordinary ever happens here.

Is David behaving himself, and doing his schooling well? hope so, anyway.

That's all for now, I'll write again later.

Good Night & God Bless,

Your Loving Son.

Ken. xxxxx David xxxxx.
