My Dear Harold,
Congratulations old thing. I was awfully pleased to hear about it, they phoned up from home and told me and also sent the cutting out of the Mercury, apparently lots of people 'phoned the night it was in.
I suppose you are now back at your old station did you get on alright at Bristol. I heard your train was late going back off leave. Mine was too I didn't get back till 1-30 it was an awful journey. I don't know anything about my next leave yet.
Going to the cinema tonight to see 'Murder in Thornton Square', it should be quite good, going with Sybil.
Teddie has phoned again several times and wants me to go out with him but I don't know what to do
[page break]
I don't think I shall.
Well this is only a short note, write soon will you!
Congrats. once more.
Lots of love,
Betty.
