Correspondence on the subject of this letter should be addressed to THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE, AIR MINISTRY (P.4 (Cas.)),
and should quote the reference

Sir,
I am directed to refer to a telegram from this Department dated 13th July, 1944, and to inform you with regret that a further report has now been received from the International Red Cross Committee, Geneva, which unhappily confirms that your son, Flying Officer Albert Evans, Royal Air Force, lost his life on 25th March, 1944, and adds that he was buried two days later in Grave No. 391, Field IIIc, in the North Military Cemetery at Dusseldorf, Germany.
In conveying this information, I am to express the deep sympathy of the Department with you in your sad loss.
