Dear Bill,
I hope you and Mary haven’t been worrying about me, because I’m quite O.K. and still alive and kicking. I suppose you’ll have seen my letters home, and know all the news so far, but there are others on the way, and you should get them soon. I know it’s a long time between letters, but we’ll have to stick it out until things brighten up. Don’t forget I want you to keep in touch with Mick, and let her know you’ve had this because we can send them only to members of the Armed Forces and a letter to her takes such a long time.
Best of luck and keep your chins up. Remember me to all the old pals and those at home.
Love, Albert.
