Dear Marie,
The mail services seem pretty good these days, don’t they? I was recalled from leave yesterday & have one from you dated [indecipherable word] . Got back from a rifle shoot last Friday & was told I was on leave. Having little time for preparations we went up to Edinburgh – 7 of us. 4 from my own crew, Jack Moran [indecipherable word] pilot Keith Anderson & another pilot Bev McVicar. We had fairly good [indecipherable words] it was raining in England. Went up to Dundee for [indecipherable words] last day I was doing a little shopping & was amazed [indecipherable words] stopped me in the street to find it was Mr Tom Adamson [indecipherable words] Dalgety. Unfortunately we’d just got our [indecipherable words] but I’ll look him up again [indecipherable words] London.
[indecipherable words] fountain pen while on leave. Still [indecipherable words] until I can [indecipherable word] up something better. As [indecipherable words] , although I wouldn’t mind going [indecipherable words] this station who are already home & [indecipherable words] about [indecipherable word] didn’t [indecipherable word] to a [indecipherable words] forbidden yesterday – a blank one [indecipherable words] of wrapping [indecipherable words]
Jimmy [indecipherable words] up here recently & got [indecipherable words] & will post it home [indecipherable words] you’ll see it eventually. It contains a few of my [indecipherable words] photo. Just something else to put away [indecipherable words]
[page break]
I’m sure it would be for Kev’s own benefit to go away to College next year. Incidentally how is the balance these days.
Well, Marie, after leave & this present rush I’ve got some work to do so I’d better get cracking. Sure the few days rest after [indecipherable word]. (sorry [indecipherable word] out your way wasn’t it) did your ‘flu a lot of good & hope you had no after effects.
[deleted] Well [/deleted] Regards best wishes & love to all at home
Pat.
