Dear Lynne,
Well pet thanks for P.C. and am glad to hear you are having a nice time at Bournemouth I guessed you would, its certainly a grand place to enjoy oneself. Expect by the time you get this letter though you will be back at Shirley & C & W.
Did you visit the Swiss Restaurant while you were there - do you remember we went there nearly every night whilst we were there.
Ive just arrived back from a 48 myself, went down to Andover and had quite a nice time, though Euny could only get the Wednesday [inserted] a/n [/inserted] off. Still we hoping she will be able to get

a week when I get my leave next. Think we will all be coming up to Shirley for a week-end then, it seems quite a while since Ive been up there.
Called in at the firm late at night on Wednesday and saw some of the lads. Still plenty of old faces about, I was shook horribly to find that girls do all night work there now, never realized they did. They were never allowed to before the war. Aren’t you glad you work in H O’s I am.
Myself I am still doing the same job, but Im afraid I cant tell you anything - as you should know. So you must be patient and wait until I am on leave, and dont [sic] worry.

Glad to hear you have received word from Stan. Isn’t it grand news from Sicily. I told you Italy would be out of the war by Xmas. Can see Stan home yet. You still haven’t told me the name of the camp.
Tar ra for now, and dont [sic] forget to write soon.
