Hemswell next where we converted to 4 engines, Halifax and Lancasters and onto Wickenby and 626 Squadron.
When we were allocated UMF 2 she had a sparsely dressed lady painted on her. A couple of Waafs jokingly said they thought we would rather have a nude reclining, to which we all agreed. Whereupon they offered to paint one for us which they did. After we left it was re-painted to the original.
