Madam,
With reference to this Department’s letter of 1st April, 1944 I am directed to inform you that instructions have today been given for payment to you of the married allowance due to your husband and 2/7ths of his Royal Air Force pay, amounting in all to £3 18s 0d a week with effect from 1st March, 1944.
Payments will be made to you monthly on the last day of each calendar month as follows:-
By the Royal Air Force Agents
Lloyds Bank Ltd., Tralee,
St Michael’s Road,
Bournemouth, Hants.
-2/7ths pay amounting to £1 9s 0d a week.
By the Senior Accountant Officer
War Casualties Depot,
127 Harley Street, London, W.1. – Married allowance at 7/-d a day
The sums due in respect of March will be paid forthwith.
In order to ensure continuity of the payments the enclosed form should be completed and returned to this Department as soon as possible; a label, on which postage need not be paid, is enclosed for your use.
The balance of your husband’s Royal Air Force pay, subject to the deductions referred to in this Department’s letter of

3rd December 1943 and to recovery of family allowance and allotment overissued to you since the date of your husband’s appointment to a commission will be [underlined] held to his credit pending receipt of his instructions as to its disposal [/underlined].
I am to add that the payments to you, now authorised, from your husband’s Royal Air Force emoluments are admissible only until he makes alternative arrangements with his bankers and [underlined] will be terminated upon the completion of such arrangements [/underlined].
