Description

Two versions of the same strip (b/w and colour) with enlargements of all slides.
Slide 1 - captioned 'Everyone on station (not working) appears in this group 189 flying crews of 620 Squadron, ready for D-Day'. A very large group of airman sitting and standing in four rows in front to a Stirling with D-Day stripes on wings.
Slide 2 - captioned 'Taken on Kings steps - Easton Lodge amidst ruin before Brian arrived'. A man wearing white shirt and tie standing on steps leading to of a large house.
Slide 3 - 't Gardermoen-Norway flying paras as occupational force and reclaimed one of our guns 134'. Six men all wearing battledress. Two on left are flight sergeants. Four on right all have aircrew brevet and one, three from right is a pilot. They are all looking at a machine gun being held by three on the right.
Slide 4 - captioned 'DeRome rows Turvey and Stanley to D-Day Jimmy Marsun and crew - they didn't make it'. Air-air view of a towed Horsa glider.
