Dear Mrs. Wareing,
I was delighted to receive the good news conveyed in your letter of October, 24th, 1944, and I passed the information on to Group Captain Cribb, who desires me to add his good wishes to you both.
Regarding your husband’s Log Book, this is Air Ministry Property and can in no circumstances be passed on to an individual. It has already been sent to Air Ministry in accordance with the customary procedure in the case of missing personnel.
Thanking you again for keeping us so well posted with news.
