22nd September, 1944.
Dear Mrs Wareing,
I thank you for your letter of the 19th September, 1944, and I much appreciate your kindness in sending along a copy of the letter you received from F/O. Walkden about your husband.
I have to-day been informed officially of the arrival of F/Lt. Hill and W/O. Torrans in this country on the 7th and 6th of September respectively, but nothing regarding the rest of the crew.
Apparently your husband is well on his way to recovery and I sincerely hope that it will not be long before I hear that he too, has arrived in England.
Thanking you again and assuring you of my sincere good wishes.
Yours faithfully,
