Dear Mrs Wareing
We have received your enquiry in which you ask for news of your [inserted] husband Squadron Leader Robert Wareing DFC & bar [/inserted]
We are sorry to tell you that so far no information has been received about him, but all possible enquiries are being made. If, however, you are the registered next-of-kin, your first notification will come from the Air Ministry.
May we say how much we sympathise with you in your anxiety.
Yours sincerely,
