Joan Dear.
I do want to send this note with our love & thoughts for you at this time of hideous anxiety. Do - do please let us know if you have any news of your precious Bob. Lin - (Gordon [one indecipherable word]) was in the other day & told us the news of both our friends & when we heard Bob was missing I couldn’t believe it
[page break]
absolutely - he said he would ring if any further news came. Then Wyn & Bell wrote saying he was just the “ace” of Pathfinders - what a job for a second tour!
I hope you have your work, and your people near - they will both help you dear - & if the thoughts & wishes of all at & in & out of the Anchorage [underlined] can [/underlined] help you at this time - they are all yours.
Very Sincerely
GG. Waltow.
