Skipper, Anti-aircraft fire, Yank Drome

Photo 1 is the pilot viewed from the bomb aimer's station of a Lancaster, captioned 'Skipper settles down'.
Photo 2 is of black explosions above the clouds, captioned ' "Flak" over Gelsenkirchen.
Photo 3 is captioned 'Yank drome' and is of Stansted Mountfitchet airfield with a dozens of bombers, On the reverse is '440'. The photograph was taken looking southwest, with Hangar 4 to the right, the aircraft is overhead Burton End. The B-17's in the centre foreground are parked along what is now Taxiway Foxtrot, beyond them, the aircraft are on what is now Stand 509 and the Border Inspection Post. The photo was taken after September 1944, as the 344th Bomb Group moved out and the base became 2nd Tactical Air Depot.
Photo 4 is of a man in civilian clothes standing with his hands clasped in front, captioned 'No not the squadron padre our skipper on victory night.' On the reverse is 'Norfolk SW7 [indecipherable] 237 8'.
