With reference to the third paragraph of your letter of 11th November, 1941, I am directed to enclose for your information, details of the service rendered by your son, for which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal announced in the London Gazette dated 29th July, 1941.
Arrangements will be made for you to receive the medal from His Majesty if you so wish or, alternatively, it can be sent to you by post. I am to request that your desire in the matter me be notified to this department in due course.
