My Dear Harry & Betty, I should have written this to reach you by Xmas but theres [sic] no harm in wishing you everything for 1944 now. Lets hope this crop of baccy turns out as good as the last. Am looking forward very much to getting on the farm with you again and its pretty disappointing watching the years go by from here Am still reading & taking notes about agriculture mainly to my mind occupied & if we have another year shall write some exams but will really have to swot for that. Send some snaps of your family “boetie” Love to you all. Donald
