Dear Mum, Dad, Yvonne & Moira,
Thanks for your air-mail letter. I’ve written a sea-mail letter. I hope you got your wire O.K. Mum. Sorry to hear of Harold Pearce’s death, as you say he will be missed. Well, Don has been posted home, so he has now left. Funny he should leave soon after I arrive. I’ve given him some stockings & socks to give you. If I’d known before I could have bought some more stuff, but I didn’t have time. The gang is certainly all over the world now, eh! We are very busy here now, & I’m feeling pretty tired. You certainly must have been shocked by the rat, Mum. Just like Yvonne. I’ve written to her. We have a very interesting crowd of chaps here. World travellers, actors, Lords sons, & lots of others. We are all getting very cheesed with this prairie & I shan’t be at all sorry to leave it. The flying is going very well, now, & is very enjoyable, but the ground studies are a big bind. I’m afraid this isn’t much of a letter as life is pretty well the same now. One of the chaps forced landed in the States & had a wizard time. People trekked from miles around to see his aircraft. Please give my regards to all, especially Jack & John.
Much love
Terry
