On Easter Eve or very early on Easter morning in every Polish church there is a very solemn Resurrection Service, which marks the beginning of the Easter Holiday.

ŚWIĘCONE
On returning from church on Easter Sunday morning Polish families partake of a traditional Easter Meal, at which eggs that have been blessed are eaten. This custom dates from Old Roman times, when eggs were eaten at the beginning of every feast.
