We have received your letter of 17th December and we assure you that any news that may be received concerning your son Pilot Officer H.R. Madgett No.147519 or any member of the crew, will be passed on to you without delay either by the Air Ministry or this Department.
If you write to the parents of the two Canadian members of the crew and send the letters with a covering note to :-

They will forward the letters.
