I felt I must just drop you a line to say how [underlined] very [/underlined] sorry I am for you two dears for this rotten space of time before you know that old Hedley is quite safe. I am quite confident that everything will be alright, and I sincerely hope that it [missing letters]n't be many more days before the damned R.A.F buck their ideas up and give you his address etc.
I was very thrilled to hear that Hedley had got the D.F.M and I

think that its no more than he deserves as he's been through a heck of a lot.
All I can say is that, try and keep your chins up. as I'm sure everything will be O.K. Hedley is definitely a son to be extremely proud of.
I do sincerely hope that both yourselves and Peter are in the best of health. God Bless you both.
