Dear Joe & Peggy
Did you hear the 7AM news last Friday morning they mentioned the raid at Peenemunde Nr Stettin saying it was a very dangerous undertaking on the sea shore, then it was in some of the morning papers but I expect you saw the pictures of it. We look for a letter every post but shall not give up hope and dont [sic] you. They returned my letter a week ago but no news in it. Glad to say Aunt is a good bit better, and plenty of work. Hope Peter is settling down and getting used to his new surrounding I'm not looking forward to the blackout and I am sure youre [sic] not, and its not been much of a summer has it

There is not much to tell, had a picture of May’s Baby he is a lovely boy to be sure. They are all well have not heard from Nellie hope she is keeping well. and Tim we have not heard from for some time
